Haven't posted quite awhile, have I? Just thought of checking this blog account then realized I only posted once in 2014. ONCE!!! I'll save all my excuses cos I really have none. 2014 went by so fast but I absolutely loved every single day of it. Now, it's already 2015 (yes I know it's a bit late to welcome 2015 as it's already February haha) and I hope it would live up to how great last year was.
As for my life, nothing much has changed... Except that I got promoted last year - it's my 1st anniversary as team lead! Yaaayy
And I'm not alone in the team anymore, obviously. I have my own team now which has 5 members. Also, we're having a team building less than 2 weeks from now in Bali. Yes, you read that right. Bali, Indonesia!! We are so stoked about as it's our first time to meet our counterpart team in Perth, Australia. Eeeekk! I hope the whole trip goes well.
Ze boyfriend and I also turned 5 this year. Who knew we're going to last this long? Lol kidding :P We're also planning to travel in Seoul, South Korea in the last quarter of this year. Our target is the fall season as I would love to see the autumn foliage! Now you would know I don't live in a country with 4 seasons. Heehee! Anyway, this year I plan to divulge my identity so I can easily share all my stories (especially my travel getaways) and thoughts.
As you all know, my name is Jane. I am currently working as a financial planner in an Australian boutique financial advisory firm. I came from the land of warm smiles and great hospitality which is the Philippines. Wanderlust is in my blood - I live to travel the world and learn from other cultures. I've also always wanted to live in Melbourne, Australia. I don't know, I just feel like it's where I belong.

I don't drink that much but it's quite fun! I actually got drunk. Oh dear! Why do I have to be the one person in the group who gets drunk first?
Nonetheless, we all had a blast! We are thinking of making it a tradition or something. :>
Yayyy :D Ze boyfriend and I decided to invite our favorite couple bestfriends with us to make it more fun! We will try surfing for the first time! Eeeekk!! Though, I am afraid of the ocean, to be honest, because I don't like the feeling of not knowing what's at the bottom of the sea. Let alone ride the waves! But still, looking forward to it!!

But I'll admit, I have been really lazy in the past 2 weeks and I don't think I have anything blog-worthy to write about. Not that I am saying that I have something interesting to say today.
Oopsie!
A teacup Yorkie, to be specific! We went to the mall yesterday and we totally forgot that there was an event for pets that day. It was a Pet Blessing Day. So, many dogs were there and I seriously went crazy seeing them! There was this really tiny yorkshire terrier that I really liked and I told ze boyfriend that I want to buy one. He told me he'll buy me one when we get back from our "overseas" work which will happen in 3-5years from now. If you know me personally, you would know that I could not wait that long. I might even buy one next week if my means permit me to do so. By means I mean, moolah.
Anyway, I'd prefer ze boyfriend giving me a dog. Cos there is a such big difference between buying the dog myself and someone really special giving me one. Do I make sense?
I realized that there are lots of people prioritizing their future income and making sure they'll be able to cover all their debts whenever something happens to them. Alright, I'll stop blabbing about my work now. So yeah, my boss called and we had a little chitchat. I also asked him about the online classes that I'll be taking to gain the Diploma for Financial Planning. I felt a bit embarrassed because I sounded like I was demanding him to enter me in Kaplan. Kaplan is a professional education provider with locations all around the world. My boss mentioned about it during my hiring interview and asked me if it would be okay for me to take online classes while working for him. Of course, I said yes. Who would pass up the chance to study and gain more credentials, right? Thought it was a good time to ask him about it since I've been working for his company for a month now and I have lots of free time today. So he did enroll me. Right away! I received the invoice of my enrollment fees and my log in details to the site (virtual class) then I felt a pang of guilt. It costed him so much to let me study financial planning. I know he'll benefit from it but still. Get what I mean? I sent my boss an email after, thanking him for everything. Haha! Yes, I am that appreciative. :P
Not really an actual school though. I'll take online classes, do assignments and pass all the assessment exams. I have 4 subjects and every subject will be taken for 3 months. So technically, it's a 1-year course. I really hope I do well in this! I will surely be a lot busier now with all the work and study at the same time... but no complaints! Still very grateful with every opportunity that I get. :D
